Presentations
Today in class we did our presentations. Ours went really well and I feel like we definitely got an A. I am pretty content with our material. Everyone's presentation was really good, I am impressed with everyone's effort. Some people's presentations were better than others, but other than that I learned a lot. At one point though, I started to not pay attention to the presentations because they were very lengthy and it got boring after a little while, but they were all very informative.

Today in class we finished our project and talked about what each person wanted to discuss during the presentation. We peer reviewed our paper and finished our video and power point. We are completely done our project and we are ready to present on Friday. I think it will go well, but I do not know. I believe we are going to get a good grade. I still do not want to present though.

Today in class we talked about what we are doing for our project. We pretty much finished our paper and talked about what each person was going to do for the presentation. We decided to bring the materials we used for the project and costume. We are almost done with editing the video. The power point is pretty much done too, but we still have some work to do. We have to just peer review the paper and print it out.

Today we took a test and I think I did okay. I do not feel like I got the map portion of the test right, but I think it is fine because I feel really good about the rest of the test I believe that I could have done better, but it is okay. I do not want to be here. It is my birthday and I do not feel good, but I also did not feel like missing a test, so here I am.. I want to go to sleep and do nothing all day. I think I am going to get a good grade on the test at least.

Persian Empire vs. Greece
Greek Army-
iron weapons meant ordinary citizens could afford to arm themselves
foot soldiers (hoplites) trained from an early age
armed with spears, swords, and shields
often fought in phalanx formation
home field advantage
motivated to preserve democracy
Persian Army-
first archers (do damage from a distance)
then Calvary (disrupt communication between generals and soldiers)
then lightly armored infantry (carried spear, sword, and bows)
huge numbers
long way from home
professional army (soldiers for hire are mercenaries)

Today in class we took the time to work on our project. My group worked on our PowerPoint and paper that is due on March twenty seventh. Our paper is one fourth of the way done and our powerpoint is getting started too. I am feeling good about our presentation. All we have to worry about now is getting our video made by Sunday. U think we will pull through and get a good grade on it. I think people will like it and it will hopefully be interesting. I just kind of want it to be over with soon.
